Mission with a Vision, Kenya

Mission with a Vision has been run by husband-and-wife team Patrick and Josephine Ngigi for more than 25 years.

During that time, they have helped rescue and educate thousands of girls They also run a reconciliation programme to help reunite (while still protecting) girls with their families and villages – this is part of their advocacy work.

Their plans for the next five years are threefold:

•To build accommodation at a second site to increase capacity as well as free up space to extend the training facilities and advocacy programme.

•To continue with their farm project which helps them become sustainable for feeding the girls as well as providing some additional income and essential skills for the girls.

•To increase the sewing centre capacity to provide a greater revenue and more training opportunities for both the girls and local women.

MWAV focuses on reaching vulnerable women and has a safe house for girls fleeing FGM and forced marriage. There focus on education and vocational training directly complements IATW's mission to foster leadership and create fearless, confident women.

This organisation is based in Narok and is dedicated to improving the lives in the region through education, empowerment, and sustainable development.
